Real Madrid is ready to move mountains in order to get Manchester United star David de Gea to sign up for them. According to recent reports, the team is well-prepared to blow the United's current goalkeeper transfer record to whoever's kingdom come.

Real Madrid's intense interest over the Spain international is not anyhow misplaced as even the pundits are running out of their list of superlatives that puts David de Gea on the threshold of the bests and the mightiest on the field. David de Gea's performance with the Manchester has been stellar. He's unbeatable as a goalkeeper and he is also seen as an investment for other teams.

David de Gea is set to replace Iker Casillas, the 24-year-old veteran goalkeeper of Real Madrid. As Casillas is ready for his upcoming departure upon the expiration of his contract, Real Madrid is ready and very keen to take in de Gea as the best replacement they'll ever have on their team, which has been confirmed by Real Madrid manager himself, Carlo Ancelloti.

Manager Ancelloti has high hopes to steal the Manchester United show-stopper. In fact, he is even positive that de Gea will beat the legendary skills of Casillas at the Santiago Bernabeu. If an offer is to be made, it has been reported that Real Madrid would have to make a big bang of the previous transfer record amounting to 33 million pounds -- the record currently held by Juventus, the celebrated goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

David de Gea's contract will be expiring come 2015. With full knowledge of the goalkeeper's contract expiration, it has been reported that Red Devil is up to extending his contract whatever it takes just so the team won't lose him on a pre-contract agreement under any other circumstance at any other time. In fact, de Gea is already about to sign the new contract in the coming weeks and possibly turning down Real Madrid.
