A video of a woman in a bikini in New Zealand became an online viral for the wrong reason. The unnamed woman was filmed attacking and punching another woman over a driving row.

The video, filmed inside a car by the companions of the bikini girl, shows the unnamed blonde screaming at another vehicle’s driver while wielding a screwdriver.

“You nearly cut my car off! Do you know how to drive? Do you have a New Zealand license?” the woman shouted at the female driver as her companions inside their vehicle made quips about the driver being Asian.

The blonde bikini-clad woman continued berating her target for apparently almost cutting her off the road. The other driver appeared to be contrite while she was trying to explain to the fuming woman. But bikini girl didn’t want to listen to her reason, suddenly hitting the driver on the face with her right hand.

That’s when her friends called out to her to stop, saying, “Oi! Jess! Jess, come on.”

The clip was cut from there. The video was uploaded on Sunday and became widely shared on Facebook, prompting the police to investigate it.

Senior Sergeant Carolyn McKenzie told Stuff.co.nz that the attacker turned herself in at the Upper Hutt station on Tuesday.

“At this stage, we don’t believe she was hit with a screwdriver but that she’s actually holding it in her other hand,” the officer said, referring to the tool the 19-year-old swimsuit-wearer was seen holding during the confrontation.

The police are now encouraging the victim to come forward.
