Tech pioneer Ron Creevey has revealed his plans to mark the 20th anniversary of Michael Hutchence’s death by unveiling an 11-second teaser for the unreleased song, “Kik It.”

Ron Creevey is the founder of The X Studio and HeliPad Records, the label Michael’s unreleased music is managed through. The whole song will be featured when the final recordings of Michael are released throughout 2017, leading up to the 20th anniversary in November 2017. “Kik It” will be the first single from the 15 previously unheard tracks Michael recorded shortly before he died.

Creevey told the Australian Associated Press, that Hutchence had named the song and that it was his favourite. “'Kik It’ is very rock,” he said. He said that it’s going to be the first single and, he and his team are still playing with it, and will release it between November and January.

Creevey said that the documentary he’s producing about Michael’s life would be finished by November. “We’re nearly done, we’ve already filmed in four different countries,” he said. “We’ll release it next year. The film includes shots of the piano Michael played on during the band, INXs’s huge concert at Wembley Stadium in 1991 and his guitar, which were in Zurich and still bear Michael’s luggage tags.

Ron also said that they’ve assembled some big names as talking heads for the documentary along with people who were working with Michael before he died. Creevey said that this is a story about how Michael lived and still everything Ron ever hears, relates to his death. INXS manager, Chris ‘CM’ Murphy revealed that he is making a documentary on Michael’s life, announcing it a week after Ron revealed his.

The “Kik It” snippet can be heard on Creevey’s Facebook page but he won’t be releasing the final version for a few months. Here is the video released on Instagram by The X Studio.
