The LG G Watch R that was officially unveiled at the IFA 2014 event in Berlin by the South Korean tech giant has been praised for its premium appearance and powerful features. The smartwatch from LG has been available in the home country since last week.

According to LG News Room, the LG G Watch R can be purchased in European countries like France, Italy, Spain and the UK through retail websites at the start of November. Soon it will be rolled out in major markets like North America, Asia, and CIS countries.

For other markets, the LG G Watch R will be available through Google Play Store. In Europe, it will carry a price tag of 299 euro and in the US, it will available for 299 dollars, states PhoneArena.

LG G Watch R Specifications and Features

The LG G Watch R sports a very elegant looking circular design which makes it look like a traditional wristwatch. It boasts of a highly durable stainless exterior which is resistant to dust and water. Its calf skin leather watchband can be interchanged according to the preference of the user. It is only available in black color.

The USP of the LG G Watch R is the 1.3inch plastic-OLED display. It offers a display resolution of 320 x 320 pixels. The LG G Watch which was showcased at the Google I/O event earlier sported a 1.65inch display with 280 x 280 pixels resolution.

The LG G Watch R is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor. It offers a processing speed of 1.2 GHz. It houses 512 MB RAM. It comes with an inbuilt storage capacity of 4 GB. It is packed with a 410mAh battery.

The LG G Watch R comes with couple of sensors like accelerometer, gyroscope, barometer and heart rate monitor. Apart from Google apps, the smartwatch will also feature apps from LG too. The LG G Watch R features Android Wear OS. It shows up smart notifications like missed call alerts, new message alerts, upcoming events and weather update by pairing with your smartphone.

When LG announced the G Watch R, it did not reveal its price. With the price tag of 299 euros, the latest smartwatch from LG becomes the most expensive wearable tech running on Android Wear.
