Reigning Formula One (F1) world champion Lewis Hamilton could seal a third World Championship title soon after winning the Russian Grand Prix. As Hamilton closes in on back-to-back F1 world title, he refused to feel pressurised and said that he is not “taking anything for granted” ahead of the Circuit of the Americas battle in Texas this weekend.

“I’ve learned from experience that nothing is ever done until it’s done in this sport,” Hamilton was quoted in an article by Crash.net. “So I won’t be taking anything for granted going into the weekend.”

With only four races left in the current 2015 F1 season, the 30-year-old Briton doesn’t worry about wrapping up this year’s championship early so long as he clinches the world championship title in the final race at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in November. Hamilton said that his main focus right now is the United States Grand Prix and he looks forward to using the same approach he had utilised this season.

“I’m excited to get out there, give my best,” Hamilton added. “And if I can come away with a third Stetson hat that would be unbelievable.”

Hamilton won his ninth race this season at the Russian Grand Prix. He leads the scoreboard for this year’s title with 302 points followed by Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel with 236 points. His Mercedes’ teammate Nico Rosberg is at the third place with 229 points. He only needs to outscore Vettel and Rosberg by nine and two points, respectively, to claim this year’s title.

In other news, Hamilton recently met up with one of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities. The Mercedes driver recently took to Instagram to share a picture of him with Will Smith, whom he regards as one of the “most inspiring, genuine, and wisest people.” Hamilton also came across former NBA star Scottie Pippen, who used to play for the Chicago Bulls, and shared their picture on the popular photo-sharing networking application.
