Lenovo's decision to launch a new tablet surprised many consumers. After all, it’s widely believed the tech industry's tablet business is eventually going to fizzle out as tech users start to turn to smartphones for their daily needs.

Despite this situation, tech companies are still launching tablets every month. The most notable ones of late are the 12.9-inch iPad Pro from Apple and the 18-inch Samsung Galaxy View. Adding to this short slate of recent tablets is Lenovo's Yoga Tab 3.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 is a budget-friendly tablet sold for only $341 at Currys PC World. It promises to deliver great performance, according to Silicon Republic. Taking a look at its design makes it apparent Lenovo's new tablet will stand out from the crowd.

The Yoga Tab 3 is set apart from other Android-powered tablets by its large side bar. This added feature allows users to handle the device like a TV. Users can also opt to hang the device on a wall using its side bar. This feature can also function as a slick-looking stand that can make the unit's screen turn 180 degrees. It’s one of the Yoga Tab 3's most notable functions.

The side bar also makes it comfortable to hold the tablet. As it turns out, it actually serves as a small bezel that makes holding the device even more convenient.

The Yoga Tab 3 also boasts of a flippable 8 megapixel camera on its base. This is an added advantage for Lenovo's new tablet, especially since not all consumers want to fiddle around with the touch screen buttons just to change the direction the camera is facing.
