Lenovo, one of the largest laptop vendors in the world updated its ThinkPad and ThinkStation series of devices. The company announced the convertible ThinkPad P40 Yoga, ThinkPad P50s mobile workstation and the ThinkStation P310 desktop.

ThinkPad P40 Yoga

It is a 2-in-1 device with a 360-degree rotating display which is supported by a hinge mechanism. This enables the owner to use it as laptop as well as a tablet. The ThinkPad P40 Yoga will sport a 14-inch QHD display with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. It comes packed with Wacom ES digitiser which enables 2,048 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The rechargeable stylus, ThinkPad Pen Pro will let users make illustrations directly on the screen of the device. The laptop is powered by the 6th generation of Intel Core i7 processor and houses up to 16GB of RAM, an NVIDIA Quadro M500M GPU for graphics, 512GB SSD with ISV certification, confirmed Lenovo.

The device also boasts USB 3.0 ports, HDMI 1.4, Mini DisplayPort 1.2, Ethernet port, 4-in-1 SD card reader and a micro SIM slot. The ThinkPad P40 Yoga will come with a price tag of US$1,399 (AU$1909). The laptop will be available for purchase in the first quarter of 2016, reports Windows Central.

ThinkPad P50s and ThinkStation P310

The ThinkPad P50 comes with a larger 15.6-inch 3K display with 2,880 x 1,620 resolution. Powered by the Skylake Core i7 processor and Quadro M500M, the computer can house up to 32 GB of RAM. The ThinkPad P50 is priced at US$1,299(AU$1773).

Meanwhile, the ThinkStation P310 is a workstation which is powered by an Intel Xeon E3-1200v5 CPU. The P310 houses up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. The P310 can be purchased at US$729 (AU$995).
