Google Pixel 11: Every Confirmed Rumor, Leak and Teaser Ahead of This Week's Made by Google Launch

Google's next generation of Pixel phones is just days from its official debut, and thanks to an unusually large wave of leaks — including a rare pricing slip from Google's own online storefront — there is more confirmed detail circulating about the Pixel 11 lineup than at almost any point before a previous Pixel launch.

Google has confirmed its Made by Google event will take place Aug. 12, 2026, in New York City, with the new phones reportedly reaching wide availability around Aug. 20, according to Tech Advisor. Here's everything credibly reported about the Pixel 11 series so far.

Four models expected, following the established formula

Leaks point to Google introducing four devices this cycle: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL and Pixel 11 Pro Fold, according to Techgenyz. Renders suggest Google is largely sticking with its existing design language across the lineup, with modifications to the camera bar, body proportions and screen rather than a full redesign. The standard Pixel 11 is expected to retain its compact form factor, while the Pro models keep the brand's now-signature horizontal camera bar.

A rare first-party leak from Google's own storefront

In mid-July, Google's own Amazon storefront briefly published live product listings for the entire Pixel 11 series, reportedly the result of a backend scheduling error. According to Android Central, which captured screenshots before Google pulled the listings, the leak revealed exact pricing across storage tiers, confirmed color options and specific battery capacities for all four models. Because the leak originated from Google's own retail listing rather than a third-party source, Android Central noted the pricing data carries unusually high confidence even though Google has not officially confirmed it.

A new Tensor chip built on a more advanced process

All four models are expected to run on a new Tensor G6 processor, which multiple outlets, including PhoneArena, report will be the first Tensor chip built on TSMC's advanced 2-nanometer manufacturing process — a step up from the 3-nanometer process used in the Tensor G5. Android Central's reporting suggests the chip will use a 1+4+2 core configuration, built around a single high-performance ARM C1-Ultra core paired with six additional performance and efficiency cores.

Perhaps the most notable rumored change involves the modem. According to a report from tipster Mystic Leaks cited by 9to5Google and relayed by TechRadar, Google is testing a MediaTek M90 modem alongside the Tensor G6 — a potential switch away from the Samsung modems Google has used on recent Tensor chips. If accurate, the change could bring improved 5G and satellite connectivity along with better power efficiency, according to the report.

Camera changes: upgrades for Pro models, a cut for the base phone

The Pro variants are rumored to receive camera upgrades, including displays reaching up to 3,600 nits of brightness and an upgraded zoom camera capable of up to 120x magnification, according to Techgenyz. The standard Pixel 11, however, appears to be losing ground in this department: PhoneArena reports the telephoto camera has reportedly been removed from the base model entirely, a notable downgrade from the Pixel 10, which had introduced a telephoto lens on its standard model for the first time.

The base Pixel 11's battery also appears to be getting a slight trim, according to PhoneArena, dropping to roughly 4,985 mAh, which is reported to shave the phone's weight down to about 197 grams from 204 grams on the Pixel 10. Meanwhile, leaked specs for the Pixel 11 Pro XL, reported by Android Central, point to a 6.8-inch OLED display running at 120Hz, Wi-Fi 6E rather than the newer Wi-Fi 7 standard, Bluetooth 6.0, and a 5,115 mAh battery.

A new lighting feature: 'Pixel Glow'

One of the more distinctive rumored additions is a feature tentatively referred to as "Pixel Glow" or "Gemini Glow" — an array of LED lights lining the outside of the phone's camera bar, according to Android Central. The feature appears designed to visually indicate when a user is interacting with Google's Gemini assistant rather than another person, and echoes a similar light strip already used on the 2026 Google Home Speaker and rumored for upcoming Chromebook laptops.

Storage, RAM and pricing set to shift

Multiple outlets report Google is doing away with the 128GB base storage tier entirely, with 256GB becoming the new starting point across the lineup, according to Droid-Life. Pricing leaks suggest the base Pixel 11 will start at $899 for that 256GB configuration, with a new 512GB option also being added in the U.S. for the first time.

RAM configurations may also vary more than in past years. According to Droid-Life, leaks suggest the Pixel 11 could be offered in both 8GB and 12GB memory configurations, while the Pro models may split between 12GB and 16GB options — a departure from the Pixel 10 generation, which offered only a single RAM tier per model. It remains unclear from current reporting whether the split reflects a component shortage, regional variation, or another factor.

Also reportedly on the chopping block: the rear-facing temperature sensor included on recent Pixel Pro models is said to be getting dropped from the Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL, according to Droid-Life, following early hints from leaked CAD renders.

What remains unconfirmed

Despite the volume of leaks, some details remain unsettled heading into the official reveal. Whether Google will introduce further AI-driven features tied to Android 17 and Gemini beyond the rumored Pixel Glow lighting has not been detailed in leaks so far, and full specifications for the Pixel 11 Pro Fold remain thinner than for the rest of the lineup. As with any pre-release leak, all of the above remains unconfirmed until Google's official announcement at Tuesday's event.
