Katie Holmes known for her love for black clothes, this time around ditched the colour and went in for a fuchsia pink dress for the premier of her new movie “Women in Gold” in New York on March 30. The 36-year-old actress sizzled in the hot pink number as she made her way to the red carpet in her ensemble. The sexy, embellished dress is by Zac Posen, according to US Weekly.

The dreamy and romantic ensemble had an open back and two cut-outs near the waist. The sleeveless patterned frock had embroidered floral prints all over. She paired her outfit with black, pointed-toe Manolo Blahnik high heels that drew attention to her toned legs. Her brunette long tresses were slicked back and she used shimmer for her cheeks, nude lipstick and a pair of delicate bracelets completed her look. She was accompanied by her long-time friend and designer Posen on the red carpet. The designer looked dapper in an orange knitted sweater paired with grey suit and trousers.

Katie who is the ex-wife of Tom Cruise and has a daughter Suri with him posed on the red carpet with the leading lady of the film Helen Mirren. The 69-year-old British actress glowed in a navy blue off-shoulder dress. The dress had long sleeves, was embellished with crystals and had a mesh detailing on the shoulders. The British beauty’s dress is by Badgley Mischka which she paired with matching Jimmy Choo high heels. Meanwhile, the jewellery Mirren sported is by Judith Leiberbag and Fred Leighton while she sported a red pout.

Katie took to Instagram to thank her team with whom the star had a photo session the previous night. “So grateful for my friends and for such a lovely night. @zac_posen @djquintero #womaningold #MOMA,” she captioned the photo. “Woman in Gold” stars Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Bruhl, Charle Dance and Tatiana Maslany apart from the Broadway actress and Holmes. While Mirren plays the main character Maria Altmann, a “Jewish refugee who takes on the government to recover artwork she believes rightfully belongs to her family.” Holmes plays the role of Pam Schoenberg the wife of Maria Altmann’s lawyer. The film released on April 1.
