The statement continued that according to Josh, it will be tough for him to continue at his workplace due to the current situation. People also published Duggar’s resignation.

“I deeply regret that recent media reports about my long ago past has brought negative attention to FRC Action and its work to preserve and advance the interests of family, faith, and freedom in the political arena,” Dugger's resignation letter reads.

In the letter, he wrote that he is not willing to impact FRC due to the mistake made by him during his teenage days. He resigned as Executive Director of FRC Action.

Meanwhile, the Duggar family took to Facebook and posted their official statements in the wake of alleged child molestation reports. Josh Duggar wrote in the post that he confessed this to his parents and they helped him deal with the situation.

He added that the family spoke to the authorities. His parents arranged counselling for him and those affected by his actions. Duggar also mentioned that if he walked “down this wrong road” he would “end up ruining his life.”

Duggar said he would do anything to go back to his teenage years to undo and “take different actions.” His parents Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar also released their official statements along with Josh's wife Anna Duggar. The show “19 and Counting” started out in 2008 with seventeen members in the family.
