“Blindspot” premiered on NBC on Monday, starting with Jaimie Alexander’s nude and tattooed character emerging from a duffel bag surrounded by police officers in New York City’s Times Square. Recently, Alexander’s co-star Sullivan Stapleton has nothing but good words about New York.

“It’s great to be back,” Stapleton told Daily Telegraph. “We are doing long days, but New York is a great city to work in and we’ve got a fantastic bunch of actors and a great team developing scripts.”

Created by Martin Gero, “Blindspot” is about an amnesiac woman with tattoos that cover her body serving as the only clue to her identity. In the new NBC drama series, Sullivan plays Special Agent Kurt Weller, the FBI Critical Incident Response Group head.

Before playing Kurt Weller in “Blindspot,” Stapleton played Sgt. Damien Scott in the British-American military TV series “Strike Back,” the final episode of which aired on July 29. He also starred in several thriller and action films including “The Hunter,” “Gangster Squad,” “300: Rise of an Empire,” “Cut Snake” and “Kill Me Three Times.”

Meanwhile, Alexander played Lt. Gail Sweet in the TV comedy series “The Brink” before playing the lead role in “Blindspot.” She is set to appear in the upcoming films “London Fields,” “Broken Vows” and “Thor Ragnarok.”

In an interview with E! News, Alexander revealed that it took seven hours to complete the tattoo artwork to cover her entire body in the “Blindspot” premiere. She also revealed that she and her double, who is her best friend, live together in New York.

Joining Alexander and Stapleton in the main cast of “Blindspot” are Tom Hardy’s “The Dark Knight Rises” co-actor Rob Brown, Robert Downey Jr.’s “The Avengers” co-star Ashley Johnson, “Madam Secretary” actress Audrey Esparza, “Broadchurch” actress Marianne Jean-Baptiste and “The Royals” actor Ukweli Roach. “The 100” actor Johnny Whitworth also plays a recurring role as a mysterious man connected to Alexander’s character.
