Bjork and Sigur Ros are not only the Icelandic musicians popular in the international music scene. The six-piece indie folk band Of Monsters and Men are strongly making waves crossing borders and touring around the world to introduce their own brand of sound.

Of Monsters and Men will visit the Australian shore to play at the annual winter music festival, Splendour in the Grass 2013, and five other shows at Enmore, Palaise and Metro Theatres in Sydney.

Three of these six appearances have already sold-out including tickets at Splendour 2013. The band is also headlining Adelaide's Spin-Off Festival.

Their debut album 2011's "My Head Is An Animal" nabbed the number 1 spot on the ARIA charts. The album's lead single "Little Talks" became no. 1 in music charts in Ireland, Iceland and the U.S.

Due to their overwhelming popularity, a third additional show has been added to the line-up. Australian fans can still catch the band at the Metro Theatre or Palaise Theatre on the following dates:

July 31st, Wednesday - Metro Theatre, Sydney (NEW SHOW)
August 4th, Sunday - Palaise Theatre, Melbourne (Selling Fast)

while their sold out shows are on the following dates and venues:

July 29th, Monday - Enmore Theatre, Sydney (SOLD OUT)
July 30th, Tuesday - Enmore Theatre, Sydney (SOLD OUT)
August 3rd, Saturday - Palais Theatre, Melbourne (SOLD OUT)

Of Monsters and Men lead guitarist Brynjar Leifsson was bewildered with their quick ascent to popularity. “Overwhelming; it’s nice to see so many people who want to help us and who appreciate what we are doing, it’s lots of fun and it is beautiful," he said in an interview with the Huffington Post.
