The Huawei Honor 7 smartphone was launched in China in the previous month to a jaw-dropping 9 million pre-order units in the first week. Even though the Chinese manufacturer is not selling the handset officially in countries other than China, OppoMart has made the Honor 7 available for global purchase.

OppoMart is selling the16 GB Honor 7 for $429 for worldwide customers. Buyers are also required to spend an additional shipping fee of $20. However, in China, the handset is available at a low cost of $322 only. The Honor 7 supports LTE bands 1 and 3 which mean that the handset will support some of the Asian and European LTE networks. However, it will not support LTE connectivity in North America, GSM Arena claimed.

The Huawei Honor 7 is a midrange smartphone that is fitted with an IPS LCD display screen of 5.2 inches. It supports full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and produces a pixel count of 424 ppi.

Under the hood of the device lies the home-baked HiSilicon Kirin 935 chipset that includes an octa-core processor. The quad cores of Cortex A53 produces a clocking speed of 2.2 GHz and the other four cores of Cortex A53 clocks at 1.5 GHz. The chipset also includes Mali-T628 graphics. Huawei has included 3 GB of RAM on the device.

The Honor 7 is available in internal storage versions of 16 GB and 64 GB. The expandable storage slot of the device supports up to 128 GB of microSD. The rear camera of the handset is of 20 MP and it comes with features like dual LED flash and autofocus. The front-facing selfie camera of the handset is of 8 MP. It also features a fingerprint scanner.

The handset comes preloaded with Android 5.0 Lollipop OS overlaid with Emotion UI 3.1 software. It carries connectivity features like 3G, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi.

The thickness of the device is 8.5 mm and it measures 143.2 x 71.9 mm. The weight of the Huawei Honor 7 is 157 grams. It is packed with a non-removable battery of 3,100 mAh capacity. It is available in color variants like gold, white and black.
