Just when netizens thought that the celebrity naked selfie leaks is over because of stricter rules by message boards and lack of A-list celebrities to hack her photos, a female California model was almost victimised by a hacker from Canada.

However, model Madison Louch was spared the embarrassment of finding her naked selfie on the Internet for the whole cyberworld to feast on, thanks to a sting operation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

The hacker, identified as Nicholas Douglas from Vancouver, Canada, by a woman who showed up to collect the $900 demand, claims to have hacked Louch's naked images from her Apple iCloud account. If she didn't pay up, Douglas threatened through a phone call on Sept 7 to destroy her modeling career by publishing her nude photos online.

Douglas also boasted that he had hacked other celebrity iCloud accounts and leaking their au naturel images.

However, rather cower in fear, Louch sought police assistance, which led to the arrest of the woman who showed up in Hollywood to pick up the money at a planter. The woman, Jamie Munoz, denied she was part of the blackmail scam but admitted she agreed to pick up the cash for Douglas.

Munoz later pleaded guilty to extortion charges and got three years of probation and community service as authorities are not convinced that Douglas is a real person.
