Celebrities sometimes long for a private life where they do not get mobbed by fans who either ask for their autographs or selfies. Recently, reigning Formula One, or F1, champion Lewis Hamilton enjoyed his anonymity during a stroll along Sydney Harbour following his victory in the season-opening race at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix.

Hamilton took a leisurely walk along Sydney Harbour without many realising who he really is, News.com.au reported. Hamilton reportedly ran into a couple who asked the F1 star not for a selfie but for him to take their picture in front of the famous Opera House.

Hamilton was more than amenable to the couple’s request and immediately took their photograph before the popular performing arts centre in Sydney. The website had shared pictures of the said incident, which greatly captured the couple’s obliviousness to the fashionably dressed young F1 star.

Hamilton visited Sydney after competing at the 2015 Australian Grand Prix. He took the wheel of a yacht on Sydney Harbour during his stop at Australia’s east coast.

The British F1 star picked up from where he left off last season by winning the 2015 Australian Grand Prix at Albert Park in Melbourne on March 15. He dominated the qualifying race to take the pole position and smashed his rivals including his Mercedes teammate Nico Rosberg to take home the checkered flag from the first race of the 2015 F1 season. It was Hamilton’s 34th title in his career.

Hamilton racked up 25 points off his 1:31:54 finish at Albert Park. The two-time world champion is seven points ahead of Rosberg in the Drivers’ championship standings. After his victory in Australia, Hamilton remains a favourite to win the next race at Sepang International Circuit in Sepang, Malaysia, where he is also the defending champion. The Malaysian Grand Prix will take place from March 27 to 29.

In other news, Hamilton and his pet Roscoe are featured in the latest issue of Man of the World magazine. Hamilton posted a picture from the 11th issue of the magazine set to hit the stands in the U.S. on March 24.
