Chris Hemsworth maybe a Hollywood a-lister but he remained proud of his Aussie roots, especially as he helped plugged for his hometown’s Byron Bay Film Festival.

Hemsworth coalesced with fellow “Thor Ragnarok” actors Tom Hiddleston and Idris Elba in recording a video plug announcing the upcoming Byron Bay Festival, which is set to kick off on Oct. 14 with over 200 featured films.

In the video, Hemsworth referred to the Byron Bay Film Festival as the “best in the world.”

For his part, Hiddleston said, “it is certainly the best in Australia. And if you’re not from Australia, you can fly from anywhere in the world to check it out.”

Meanwhile, Elba said this year’s Byron Bay Film Festival is marking its 10th year, making it the event’s most special edition.

Hemsworth, who lives in Byron Bay on New South Wales’ north coast, published the the video plug on Facebook and Instagram.

According to Kelly Morton, a consultant to the Byron Bay Film Festival, Hemsworth was very enthusiastic in helping promote the event.

“I didn't ask him to do a video, I just asked him if he would he like to help us," Morton told the Daily Mail.

“He's become very enthusiastic about the festival and wants to encourage it as a local. And he's included his friends in that too. It's very exciting.”

Hemsworth, Hiddleston and Elba joined other “Thor Ragnarok” actors in filming the upcoming movie across Australia. The Hollywood actors have also visited the Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital in Brisbane to cheer up young patients.
