As many celebrities will say in interviews, they are "just like everybody else." They have an endless amount of things that need to be done and given full attention to-reading movie scripts, buying another house in the Hamptons, writing another memoir about their life, raising kids, etc.

It can't all be easy. So they have some nifty and convenient way to avoid stress, and when that doesn't work, beat it to a pulp.

Jennie Garth uses lists as a way to make sense of her time. An organized schedule makes the "90210" actress feel better about the small things that she has to do throughout her day.

Another advocate of lists, maps and charts is Academy Award-winner Kate Winslet. "I plan everything in advance: who's dropping off [the kids], who's picking up. We have charts, maps, and lists on the fridge, all over the house. I sometimes feel like I'm with the CIA," Winslet says.

Some celebrities like "House's" Lisa Edelstein are absolutely adamant about yoga being an essential to any work day. "I do ashtanga yoga. For those two hours, your mind is completely focused on your breath, on staying calm, on being quiet. It takes me out of the chaos of this world. I'll find a way to do it even if I have to get up at 3:30 in the morning," Edelstein insists. Italian-American chef Giada de Laurentiis seconds this notion. Although the petite chef has no problems having a cup of coffee in the afternoon to perk her up too.

Sometimes, the best advice is to just let it go; at least, that's according to Madonna herself. The powerhouse performer has been quoted as saying that she sometimes handles stress by screaming as a lot of us are won't to do. But we might take our also cues from Brooke Shields, who says that it's important to just take a step back from the moment and be thankful for everything you have.
