"Castle" Season 7, Episode 10, titled "Bad Santa," airs this Monday, Dec. 8, on ABC. Stana Katic teases something in this week's new episode will "change the shape of the show." This winter finale is expected to come with cliffhangers for the avid followers of the procedural dramedy.

Spoiler alert: This update contain Castle Season 7 spoilers. Read at your own risk if you have not watched the previous episodes.

These things are given in ABC's press release about Castle Season 7, Episode 10: One, a murdered ER doctor; two, Castle's Mafia connection; and three, "a defining moment" between Esposito (Jon Huertas) and Lanie (Tamala Jones). Stana Katic, who plays Det. Kate Beckett, dished a bonus teaser.

Castle Season 7, Episode 10 is "going to change the shape of the show for a few episodes, that much I can promise you," Stana Katic told TV Line.

Viewers are left to wonder whether there would be more clues about the disappearance of Castle. It must be noted, however, that Matt Letscher, who plays "Henry Jenkins" is not in the guest list of Castle Season 7, Episode 10.

Katic was probably not referring to the Javi-Lanie moment in the ABC release. TV Line has gone to as far as ruling out a pregnant Beckett in its interview. The mafia connection is likely to be just case-of-the-week. So this "change" must be connected to Castle's and Beckett's married life.

Time flies when filming TV shows, and Stana Katic has gone on Twitter to remind Castle viewers that production is "over halfway through filming Season 7."

New Villain, Old Connections: Annie Wersching Returns

Castle Season 7 is not even midway into the "new mythology" that series creator Andrew W. Marlowe and new showrunner David Amann were teasing about during the season break. New characters are supposed to be involved, but the series is soon guesting someone connected to Jerry Tyson, aka 3XK.

Annie Wersching ("24") is coming back to Castle, according to a separate TV Line report. Her last appearance was in Castle Season 6, Episode 9 ("Disciple), where she plays Dr. Kelly Nieman, a cosmetic surgeon. The episode ends with the song "We'll Meet Again" (Vera Lynn).

Castle Season 7 airs Mondays on ABC. It goes on a winter hiatus after airing this week's new episode.
