Best NFL Week 3 Over/Under Bets

There’s a significant gap between the NFL’s highest-scoring and lowest-scoring teams to start the 2021 season. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers lead the way with 39.5 points per game, and two other teams are averaging at least 34.0 points. Five teams are averaging no more than 17.0 points. The Miami Dolphins are at the bottom of the league with just 8.5 points per week.

Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans Under 48.5

The Colts’ offense hasn’t been particularly effective with a healthy quarterback, averaging 20 points per game on 5.1 yards per play. It could be even worse with an injured Carson Wentz or Jacob Eason under center. If Tennessee jumps out to a big lead, Indianapolis might see a heavy dose of Derrick Henry as the Titans control the game and the clock during the second half.

Baltimore Ravens at Detroit Lions Over 49.5

Not only have the Lions given up at least 35 points in both games this season, but Detroit surrendered a minimum of 30 points in the final six weeks of the 2020 campaign. Lamar Jackson usually puts up big numbers against the league’s worst teams. The Lions will get into the end zone a few times, as well. Injuries to Baltimore’s secondary have contributed to the Ravens’ 31st-ranked defense.

Chicago Bears at Cleveland Browns Under 46.5

The Bears are ranked 30 in total offense. Chicago was held to 14 points in Week 1 and just 20 points in Week 2, despite a pick-six and two more interceptions. Andy Dalton has just one pass attempt of at least 15 yards in the air. Even if Justin Fields gets the nod, the rookie has struggled to play with consistency. Expect Cleveland to lean heavily on its rushing attack with Jarvis Landry out and Odell Beckham having missed the first two weeks.

Atlanta Falcons at New York Giants Under 48.5

The Giants’ offense needs to show more than just one strong performance to prove that it's even an average unit. Week 2 snapped a seven-game streak of fewer than 24 points for New York, and Daniel Jones didn’t have a turnover, which is rarely the case. Matt Ryan might no longer be a top-15 quarterback. Ryan led no touchdown drives in the opener and had three interceptions last week.

New York Jets at Denver Broncos Under 41.5

Neither the Jets nor the Broncos have played in a game that featured more than 40 points. Denver has given up exactly 16 points in each of their last two home openers. The team has allowed a 65.5 passer rating through two weeks, and Zach Wilson has a league-worst 56.1 rating. Even with Teddy Bridgewater’s 120.7 rating, the Broncos have only scored 25 points per game.
