Robin Gibb, one of the members of the hit group from the seventies Bee Gees, is fighting to survive over liver cancer according to the recent reports spread around.

The 61-year-old artist was rushed to the hospital after an emergency call was made from his Oxfordshire mansion in England. According to reports, he was allowed to get home after several hours.

There were even some news that he was already admitted under an emergency case last October 13 due to his colon being inflamed and became apparent as he suffered from immense stomach pain.

Another newspaper reported that a very close friend of the Gibb said that he was already diagnosed of the disease months ago.

It was in August of 2010 when he went through gastrointestinal surgery but he still experienced chronic pain by April. This made him cancel his solo tour that was meant to happen for South America as suggested by the medical experts who handle his condition.

This was followed by a lot of other events cancelled and this made fans fear that their idol might be suffering from the same condition that took away the life of his own twin brother and bandmate Maurice.

His twin died from an unexpected heart attack way back in 2003 at the age of 53 as he was going through a surgery for his twisted intestines.

Their group which popularized songs like 'Stayin' Alive' has retired after 45 years. In 2009 though, their remaining members decided that they would start to perform and play music again.

With Robin's condition at the moment, there are reports which say his brother Barry and mom Barbara flew to be closer to him.

Watch out for updates on this scoop.
