Top Rank Chief Executive Officer Bob Arum is reportedly worried that Manny Pacquiao does not have a clear concentration and focus on his upcoming fight against undefeated New Yorker Chris Algieri. Pacquiao has recently added his Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) coaching duties to his list of responsibilities. Arum is worried that the Filipino eight-division world champion will shift his focus from boxing to playing basketball.

"I am just worried that Pacquiao won't be focused on an unknown but dangerous Algieri," Arum told Philboxing.com. Algieri last fought Ruslan Provodnikov and won via split decision in June. Algieri's victory has extended his winning streak to 20.

Meanwhile, Pacquiao's strength coach Australian Justine Fortune isn't concerned at all with the Filipino's title defense against Algieri in November. In an interview with Rappler, Fortune said that Pacquiao is having fun with his training camp. He said that a happy Pacquiao equals to a dangerous fighter.

"If you have an athlete who is content and happy and trains hard, then you have an excellent athlete," Fortune said. "If you're playing your sport and you're [explicit] miserable, you'll never get that response out of an athlete," he added.

Fortune has worked with Pacquiao for a couple of weeks before Roach took over on Oct. 8. Fortune said that Pacquiao is approximately 70 percent ready for the bout. According to Fortune, Pacquiao currently weighs more than the 144-catchweight. However, he isn't bothered with it. He said that it is more important to make sure that Pacquiao doesn't "overtrain" himself rather than keep him in shape.

Algieri, on the other hand, has started his training camp in Long Island. On Oct. 12, Algieri arrived in Las Vegas to continue his training and preparations for the Pacquiao clash, Boxing Scene reports. The 30-year-old undefeated boxer will be training in Las Vegas for 10 days before he heads to China. Algieri holds the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Light Welterweight Title.

The fight between Pacquiao and Algieri will take place at the Cotai Arena at the The Venetian Macao Resort in Macau, China on Nov. 22. Pacquiao's WBO Welterweight Title is at stake in the fight.
