Just days after telling Ariana Grande she should not stoop down into a "whore" just to succeed in her music career, Bette Midler is now apologising for her harsh comment. Ariana Grande had already defended herself when she heard the insult, but the Twitter war certainly got settled fast. Meanwhile, the "Break Free" singer opened up more about her relationship with Big Sean.

In an interview with The Telegraph on Monday, Bette Midler, 68, said she does not understand why Ariana Grande has to act sexily when she's young. For her, Ariana Grande should be stopped. She wants the 21-year-old "Problem" singer to just trust her talent to bring her the success and fame she wants and should stop from making a "whore" out of herself to get ahead in show business. Grande was quick to post a reply to the criticism on Tuesday, saying she was personally inspired growing up by Bette Midler to just do what she wants "without judgements."

"Bette was always a feminist who stood for women being able to do whatever the F they wanted without judgement!" she tweeted with a picture of the "Beaches" actress. She added she's now unsure where the old Bette Midler, her "sexy mermaid," went, but she said she would remain a fan no matter what.

Now, Bette Midler took her harsh words back and called herself a "reformed old whore." She also praised Ariana Grande's musicality. "About my screed on ‪@ArianaGrande , all I can say is, 'Spoken like a reformed old whore! She does have a beautiful voice, on a couch or off'," Bette tweets.

With the feud now in the past, Ariana Grande is just happy about her life. While still shy about detailing her relationship with Big Sean, she just relayed that she feels happy and "very love up" by him. He called Big Sean a sweetheart in a Now magazine interview and claimed he's the best boy she has ever met despite the fact she always had a taste for the bad boy types.
