Apple’s latest 4-inch iPhone SE (Special Edition), unveiled in March have received a warm welcome from the market. This is evident from the unprecedented demand of the new smartphone, which resulted in dwindling inventory stocks and shipping delays in both Apple’s online and physical retail stores.

Apple has equipped top-of-the-line features into a small package. The iPhone SE comes packed with hardware specs similar to that of the current flagship iPhone 6s and the much appreciated iPhone 6.

The Cupertino-based tech giant has basically packed the hardware specs of the iPhone 6s into an iPhone 5s casing.

The AnTuTu 6 benchmark scores of the device reveal an impressive performance of the Apple iPhone SE. The smartphone was spotted on the AnTuTu benchmarking app with a remarkable score of 134,358 points.

Apple iPhone SE sports a 4-inch IPS Retina display which carries a resolution of 640 x 1136 pixels. A smaller and low resolution display of the iPhone SE also helps in notable performance bump.

The aforementioned benchmark score is higher than that of iPhone 6s (129,990 points) and is marginally lower than the iPhone 6s Plus which bags 1377,420 points, as reported by GSM Arena.

The iPhone SE is powered by dual-core Apple A9 SoC coupled with a M9 Co-processor and 2GB of RAM. With a 1,624mAh battery unit, the iPhone SE performs considerably well when it comes to watching Full HD video content, as reviewed by Tech Radar.

Last but not the least, the lower price point has surely helped the Apple iPhone SE to entice customers to upgrade their existing iPhones. The entry-level 16GB model comes with a price tag of US$399 (AU$543) as compared to the iPhone 6s which starts at US$649 (AU$882). The 64GB iPhone SE costs US$499 (AU$679).
