“The Amazing Race” Season 28 recap

On the third episode, titled “Bros Being Jocks,” the 11 teams remained in Colombia. From the previous pit stop, they were instructed to go to Plaza de San Diego to look for pollera dancers who are holding the next clue. The teams then headed to Castillo San Felipe de Barajas to look for a cluebox amid a series of catacombs. It led them to the Detour challenge for the episode, which made them choose between Tickets or Tejo. In Tickets, the teams must work as bus attendants, and had to get as many passengers as they can to earn at least COL$20,000 (approximately AUS$5.98). Those who choose Tejo, on the other hand, must play a traditional game that uses a metal disk and gunpowder to hit three explosive targets.

After receiving their clues, the teams proceeded to Calle San Juan de Dios for a Roadblock. In this challenge, they had to search for a local vendor who sells mochila, an indigenous backpack. They had to go around Plaza Santa Teresa and Plaza Santo Domingo to find two mochilas with exactly the same design and designer label. After doing the Roadblock, they were instructed to walk to the pit stop at Baluarte de Santiago, where Phil was waiting for them.

Pro Frisbee fellas Brodie and Kut were the first ones to arrive at the pit stop, where they were told they won a trip for two to Mykonos, Greece. Best friends Tyler Oakley and Korey Kuhl followed suit, who beat dating gamers Burnie Burns and Ashley Jenkins to the mat.

Here’s the rest of the "TAR" Season 28 team placement in the third episode: Engaged choreographers Dana Borriello and Matt Steffanina; Instagram models Jessica Versteeg and Brittany Oldehoff; mother and son duo Sheri and Cole LaBrant; best friends Erin Robinson and Joslyn Davis; father and son Scott and Blair; and newlyweds Zach and Rachel King. Brothers Cameron and Darius Benson were the last team to arrive, eliminating them from the race.
