5 Seconds of Summer rocker Michael Clifford has spoken up about allegedly being the subject of Abigail Breslin's breakup anthem "You Suck." The Australian guitarist all but confirmed that he is indeed the guy whom the former child star wishes bad things on.

Breslin, 18, recently released her song "You Suck," in which she lambasts her unnamed ex-boyfriend. She wishes for the guy's "bleached" hair to fall out, tells him that his bandmates look better than him, calls his tattoo dumb, and overall just insults his whole person. Although she didn't identify the boy, the "Little Miss Sunshine" actress has left clues to his identity, which 5SOS fans claimed obviously point out to Clifford.

The day of the song's release, Breslin's song trended, but not for the reason she might have expected. Critics have panned the song for being immature and insulting, saying that Breslin attempted a clever feminist breakup, but instead ended up with a childish, pitiable attention-seeking track. The hashtag #AbigailYouTried also trended.

Clifford previously kept mum about his alleged involvement in the song, but only posted a few choice words on Twitter on Wednesday.

On Friday, Clifford had a chance to address the song. In an interview with Nova FM's Smallzy's Surgery in Sydney, the 19-year-old crooner was asked what he thought about Breslin attacking him in her song. Host Kent Small told him that he didn't have to say anything, though he wanted to know what he thought about "You Suck" because The Veronicas had a lot of things to say about it.

"I haven't spoken with her for over a year," Clifford said simply, seemingly at lost for words. Lead vocalist Luke Hemmings chimed in, "We don't know for sure if that's about Michael. It could be anyone, really," though it appeared that even him didn't believe what he just said.

Clifford pointed out his arm tattoo, which was referenced in the song, telling Small that it was a clue. The DJ also playfully warned him to be careful about his hair because it would fall out.

"That's the one lesson to learn," Clifford laughed at the warning.

The Veronicas' Jessica Origliasso appeared to have taken her fellow Aussie singer's side upon hearing "You Suck." The 29-year-old songstress, who forms the band with her twin sister Lisa, slammed Breslin's song as 'f------ offensive."

But when it becomes a platform for immature, entitled, self serving noise passed off as Girl Power/ feminism.. That's just fucking offensive
