Last week two screwy things happened that involved the Detroit Lions. The first one was their loss to the Dallas Cowboys last week due to bad officiating, which many coaches and former athletes complained about as reported by the SB Nation. To make matters worse, a 10-year-old child, who was a fan of the Lions was screwed out of a Madden NFL 15 PlayStation 4 game during a pre-show event.

The 10-year-old boy in question is named Roman and attended the game in Dallas after his grandmother surprised him with tickets for the game. He and his family went to Dallas early to participate in the early festivities that took place before the actual game happened.

This pre-show event was held in Dallas, which is the same home of the Cowboys and the 10-year-old boy was wearing a Lions shirt to show support for his team. This looked to be the reason as to why the young man was screwed out of the prize he deserved. According to Polygon the small event had a musical chairs contest where the winner would win a copy of Madden NFL 15 for the PlayStation 4, which Roman won; however, when they discovered he was wearing a Lions shirt a do-over was ordered and the boy lost.

A report from Deadspin stated that both participants would get a copy of Madden NFL 15, but no such luck occurred. Roman instead got a DVD copy of the Batman show from the 60's and a Led Zepplin music CD. This raised plenty of controversy over the petty nature of the pre-show officials who were associated with the Cowboys and the unfair treatment the young Lions fan received. Many fans were outraged as to how this kind of unfair treatment was being done to a 10-year-old child.

Thankfully EA Sports made things right by giving the 10-year-old Lions fan a special gift. Via Twitter they stated that Roman will not only be getting his own copy of Madden NFL 15, but a brand new PlayStation 4 and a mini helmet signed by Detroit Lions player Calvin Johnson.
