The Paperboy was one of the most controversial movies in the recently concluded Cannes Film Festival. The "pee scene" between Nicole Kidman and Zac Efron is something that people have been talking about and Lee Daniels, the director of the movie, finally spills some beans regarding this controversial scene.

The controversial "pee scene" was not part of any fetish scenes in the movie. In fact, it was incorporated because Zac Efron's character was stung by a jellyfish and Nicole Kidman's character needs to urinate on him in order to prevent infection.

In his statement, Director Lee Daniels was hesitant if he would still put the controversial scene for the film. He was concerned that he was going too far with the said scene. Despite this concern, Nicole Kidman insisted that he includes it in the movie considering the hardwork that both stars exhibited during the scene.

This interview reveals Zac Efron's reaction during the controversial scene. The director recalls that the scene was supposed to be a serious one with Zac pretending to be passed out but shooting the scene was far from that since Zac was all smiles during the shooting.

On the other hand, Efron was brought to tears as the audience from the Cannes Film Festival gave a standing ovation for the film. When asked about his reaction regarding this event, Zac remarked that it was one of the most profound moments of his life.
