The World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is beginning to pick up the rumbles of the 2015 Royal Rumble. After fan discontent reaching the apex after the year’s first pay-per-view event, Vince McMahon and his think tanks are already at work altering the storylines for Wrestlemania 31, which is slated for March at the Levi’s Center.

The wrestling outfit is reportedly bent on reclaiming the followers of the “Yes! Movement,” by pitting its leader, Daniel Bryan against another equally baby faced fighter in Dolph Ziggler. The initial plan of the WWE was to flank Bryan with a supposed-to-be turning heel Sheamus but talks on that match-up has died down following fan clamour during Royal Rumble.

Bryan entered 10th in the 30-man melee only to be unceremoniously booted 10 minutes later much to the dismay of the sold-out crowd at the Wells Fargo Center. On top of that, The Authority goons Kane and Big Show did not have much resistance in throwing other fan favourites, Dean Ambrose and Dolph Ziggler off the top rope.

The circumstances meant that new poster boy Roman Reigns was a lock to win the Rumble and has booked a ticket against Brock “The Beast Incarnate” Lesnar at Wrestlemania 31. And surely, the crowd reacted negatively to Reigns, from his entrance at the 18th spot to his arms being raised by Dwayne “The Rock”” Johnson as the winner of the main event.

Many of the fans that voiced their dismay over social media pointed out that Reigns was force-fed by the company much like the way Batista won last year or John Cena in previous iterations. The same complaints echoed the sentiments that Bryan should have been given a fair shake or at least better exposure in the main event, unlike the middle card treatment he got from the outfit.

Due to these, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting that the WWE is scrapping the planned Sheamus versus Bryan preliminary match at Wrestlemania to give way to a good guy versus good guy battle in Ziggler versus Bryan. With both men having equally ardent followers, it would be surprising if a few boos go their way, after all it would be hard to side between two good guys who will offer the variety in the menu for the night, which will feature the usual heel versus baby face slate.

The other rumoured matches for Wrestlemania 31 are as follows:

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns

Triple H vs. Sting

Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt

John Cena vs. Rusev

Seth Rollins vs. Randy Orton
