The Lumia 730 is one of the last smartphones to feature the Nokia brand name. It is a midrange handset that comes with marvelous features with affordable price tag. Microsoft is branding this handset as a selfie phone since it has a magnificent 5 MP camera that is capable of shooting wide angle selfies. Recently, the Lumia 730 bagged the Guiness World Record for the largest selfie to feature maximum number of people. The selfie included 1,151 people.

The Lumia 730 is a dual SIM handset priced at US$240 (AU$285). It is a successor model for the Lumia 720. The single SIM variant is being sold as Lumia 735 with technical specifications and features like the Lumia 730. The following features make it one of the most irresistible midrange smartphone.

Excellent Display

The Nokia Lumia 730 comes with a 4.7-inch OLED display. It supports a display resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and a pixel density of 316 ppi. NDTV claims that it has a well saturated screen and the colours appear bright and vibrant. It boasts excellent viewing angles and even the brightness is lowered, it still delivers good outdoor viewing experience.

Great Hardware

The Lumia 730 is powered by Snapdragon 400 chipset that features a 1.2 GHz quad-core Cortex A7 processor along with Adreno 305. The chipset is accompanied by 1GB of RAM.

Its performance is on par or even better than some of the expensively priced Android smartphones which feature the same chipset such as Moto G 2014, Samsung Galaxy Grand 2, Sony Xperia M2, LG G2 Mini, Asus Zenfone 5 and others. The Windows Phone 8.1 OS with Lumia Denim update offers snappy performance and offers lag free performance, states GSMArena.

Amazing Camera

The Lumia 730 features an offbeat 6.7 MP Carl Zeiss rear camera with sensor size of 1/3.4" and focal length of 26 mm. It can snap great photos with good colour balance and details. Undoubtedly, the USP of the handset is the 5 MP wide angle selfie camera with f/2.4 aperture and focal length of 24 mm. Both the cameras can record full HD videos. It can shoot brilliant and sharper quality selfies.
