Perhaps you've also heard about the rumours that Saido Berahino is set to sign up for Liverpool for 23 million pounds. In fact, there were many articles written about the rumour and it has become the most talk of the field. Apparently, these rumours were denounced by a recent tweet from West Brom.

As Liverpool continues to hunt for a new striker, the name of Saido Berahino also rings louder but, talkSPORT has had its own news to beat and this involves providing readers a list of five alternative strikers that Liverpool can choose from over Berahino. Either Liverpool signs the deal with Berahino or signs another striker instead.

The rumours have definitely reached the ears of West Bromwich Albion who has unusually taken the thing publicly. To put all the rumours regarding Liverpool signing up Saido Berahino for 23million pounds, to bed, Albion has used their official Twitter account to end all these rumours. The tweet by a club spokesman reads as follows:

"Ok time to clear a few things up. One final time, this Berahino to @LFC story for £23m is and always has been an entire fabrication..."

While this is unusual and quite a direct move to take things to public via Twitter, Albion has definitely sent the message across to supporters and many other people who probably truly believed the rumour. It's unusual but a smart move to denounce the rumours in one final strike.

Such kind of deduction might not just sit well with the England international's track record, which would show that he scored eight goals in this season's 21 games. The tweet was just a matter of putting things straight and to end up rumours and nothing else. This is also to correct any misunderstanding that might have been caused by the rumours.

To note, Berahino has not only been linked with Liverpool but also with Tottenham. Rumours have also spread about Berahino to transfer to Tottenham come January's reopened transfer window.
