“The Wanted” Singer Siva Kaneswaran Engaged To Long-time Girlfriend Nareesha McCaffrey

It was not so long ago when “The Wanted” Singer Siva Kaneswaran was defending his girlfriend to fellow member, Max George. Now the English band member is engaged to long-time sweetheart, Nareesha McCaffrey.

In an interview with UK’s Hello Magazine, the English crooner shared the details of his proposal to McCaffrey, according to AceShowbiz.

He noted no fellow members had any idea that he would pop the question and this meant aside from Max George, Nathan Sykes, Tom Parker and Jay McGuiness were all surprised to see him taking his romance with girlfriend to a higher level.

He likened the proposal to a “military operation.”

“It was like a military operation to plan the proposal. I couldn't even tell the other boys in the band in case they blew the surprise," Kaneswaran was quoted as saying by AceShowbiz.

McCaffrey apparently wanted to throw a birthday party to the boybander Nov. 25 but it turned out to be a present that both of them will never forget for the rest of their lives.

Kaneswaran added, "I said to her, 'I wanted a present I would always remember this year by - for you to be my wife.' I'd bought the ring months before I'd been trying to figure out the right time. I love her, I love every bit of her.”

Kaneswaran’s fiancée, a shoe-designer, admitted being surprised when her beau proposed to her. But the AceShowbiz noted that the newly engaged McCaffrey can’t wait to plan their wedding.

"I'm still in shock. I don't like surprises and he really surprised me, but I was so happy. I can't wait to start planning the wedding," McCaffrey said, according to AceShowbiz.

McCaffrey and Kaneswaran have been dating for 6 years. It can be recalled that Kaneswaran was the only “The Wanted” member with a girlfriend, he took with him when he moved in to a mansion in Los Angeles for the group’s reality show, “The Wanted Life.” McCaffrey has had a love-hate relationship with Kaneswaran’s fellow band member, Max George.
