Weddings are occasions for the couple being married as well as their relatives and guests to be dressed to the nines. But that won't be the case on Thursday, Sept 18, when reality show couple Ashley Fonda and Alika Medeiros walk the aisle and exchange wedding vows because the pair as well as all their guests would be wearing only their birthday suits.

Ashley, 27, and Alika, 36, are the contestants of the popular Dating Naked reality show aired over VH1, which announced on Wednesday that the second season of the programme, with an average of 1 million viewers a week, would air its second season in summer 2015.

"'Dating Naked' has been a rating success for us and a viewer favorite," Susan Levison, vice president of original programming and production at VH1, said in a statement. Another proof of its popularity is its 500,000 weekly streams and a season-high of over 750,000 streams on its sixth episode.

The Thursday episode, titled Dating Naked: The Wedding, is expected to generate high audience interest. A New Age shaman officiated their commitment ceremony on Aug 6 in a botanical garden in Los Angeles. The couple had two dozen guests, most of whom are fellow contestants of the reality show which blurs the private parts of the contestants who are butt naked.

Ashley, an artist, and Alika, a sexual healer, are clothed when they march toward the officiating shaman, but they would remove their clothes just before they exchange vows.

"As a little girl, I definitely did not picture having a naked wedding, but this was such a liberating experience," People quoted the bride whose family and relatives were absent from the ceremony because of their disagreement with the rite's "undress" code.

Ashley explained, "My mom is more of a Christian-type person, so getting naked wouldn't be her cup of tea. She is happy for me but wouldn't have wanted to get naked in a ceremony."
