Apple’s new iPad Mini 4 is generating a lot of chatter for seeming to be a replica of the iPad Air 2 but in a smaller frame. This besides, the Mini iPad’s latest upgrades make it a good buy and customers can choose from among three versions: the 16 GB for US$399 (AU$569); the 64 GB for US$499 (AU$699) and the 128 GB for US$599 (AU$829).

Since its release, the Air 2’s been the best tablet out there and it’s disappointing there isn’t an iPad A3 this year. Tech Radar says you can do away with the iPad Mini, which is a brilliant take on Air 2, and stick to the latter.

Despite this, the Mini iPad seems to be the best ever mini-tablet from Apple. It does fit well in one’s pocket and thus lives up to its Mini moniker.

With Christmas round the corner, many are eager to learn more about the latest upgrades to the Mini 4 and why it’s a decent purchase, after all.

Mini 4 borrows a few design elements from the original iPad Mini. What you get with the Mini 4 are elegant curves at the edges and a ceramic casing that’s gentle to the touch. Following in the footsteps of iPad Air 2 contours, the Mini 4 took out some extra thickness to make it feel lighter and more portable.

Things like social networking, web browsing, emailing and casual gaming pretty go fast on the Mini 4. The best reason to look out for Mini 4 is its iOS 9 that makes i run smoother and easier.

Readers will love it since the Mini 4 is Kindle-like. That makes it easy to tuck into small bags. As for the front facing camera, you enjoy a 1.2 MP Face Time camera but you’ve got an 8 MP revamped camera for the rear.

On the flip side, the upgraded Mini’s display isn’t as convenient for navigation as it should be and the tablet is more expensive than 8-inch tablets, reported CNet.
