“Twilight” hunk, Taylor Lautner is headed Down Under in two weeks to attend the Australian premiere of his latest film project, “Abduction”.

Citing a media release, The Sydney Morning Herald said in a report that the Twilight heartthrob, who has recently admitted being star struck by Mark Wahlberg at the recent Foreign Press Association's luncheon in Beverly Hills Thursday, is expected to mingle with Aussie fans on the red carpet on August 21 in Melbourne and on August 23 in Sydney.

In an article by IBTimes AU on June 25, “Taylor Lautner’s glass-breaking poster for ‘Abduction’ now released”, the 19-year-old muscled-teen is reportedly taking his future projects seriously in hopes not to get stuck with the Twilight- mold and to have a post-Twilight career. He did so with “Abduction”.

In the film, Lautner is playing Nathan Harper, a teen who has ‘had the uneasy feeling that he’s been living someone else’s life for as long as he can remember” only to prove his hunch right when he saw a photo of himself as a boy. The conflict in the film began when he saw a familiar old photo on a missing-persons website.

The film is helmed by director John Singleto, who also worked in “Boyz n the Hood”. Lautner is joined by other big stars including Alfred Molina, Jason Isaacs, Maria Bello, Denzel Whitaker, Michael Nyqvist and Sigourney Weaver. “Abduction” opens in U.S. theaters in September.
