Joe Buck Recalls Travis Kelce Growing Emotional as Taylor Swift Walked Down the Aisle at MSG Wedding

New details continue to emerge from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding, with sportscaster Joe Buck offering an intimate account of the Kansas City Chiefs star's emotional reaction as his bride walked down the aisle at Madison Square Garden.

Buck, an ESPN broadcaster who attended the July 3 ceremony with his wife, fellow sportscaster Michelle Beisner-Buck, described Kelce's reaction in detail during an appearance on the Starkville podcast. "Travis was a puddle watching his nieces come down the little ramp that they built," Buck said. "And then, you know, when [Swift] walked out, he was a puddle."

Buck also offered insight into the couple's wedding vows, which he said left much of the audience visibly moved. "Their vows were long," he said. "They were really well written. They were funny. They were sweet. They were emotional."

Buck admitted he found himself somewhat starstruck by his surroundings among the star-studded guest list. "I'm like what in the hell am I doing here?" he said. "And they have got to be looking at me like, 'Who is that?'"

Two attendees who spoke separately with NBC News described the night as a "pinch me moment," corroborating Buck's characterization of the evening's surreal atmosphere. Those guests also said the celebration included performances from both Paul McCartney and Stevie Nicks, along with a raffle featuring the same model of car Swift and Kelce rode in on their first date. According to the same guests, attendees entered the venue through a tunnel lined with photographs documenting Swift and Kelce's lives, from childhood through the course of their relationship.

Taylor Swift's aunt, Robin Gentry, also offered a brief but emotional account of the ceremony as she left the venue, describing a night filled with a full range of emotions among the wedding party. "They cried, and they laughed and they danced, and they hugged and they kissed," Gentry said.

AMC Theatres Chief Executive Adam Aron, who attended the wedding, shared additional details in a since-deleted post on X, describing how the couple had transformed the Madison Square Garden venue into what he called a "secret garden," complete with large photographs of Swift and Kelce displayed at every stage of their lives. Aron similarly described the couple's vows as "emotional" and "charming."

Swift's representative confirmed that her wedding gown was designed by Christian Dior Haute Couture.
