‘Sherlock’ Season 3: Tears in ‘His Last Vow’; Wedding in ‘The Sign of Three’; Reunion in ‘The Empty Hearse’
"Sherlock" Season 3 is still date-less when it comes to its premiere on BBC in UK. However, actors and the people associated with this hugely popular modern day adaption of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's "Sherlock Holmes" have been kind enough to spill spoilers regarding the upcoming episodes.
Michael Price, composer of "Sherlock," tweeted on November 10, 2014: It's time. Sherlock ep3. More strings than ever before. More epicness. More tears."
The third season of "Sherlock" promises to be more epic than the previous two seasons, and "jaw dropping." Rebecca Eaton, executive producer of Masterpiece, has called the upcoming season "best season yet of Sherlock."
In "Sherlock" Season 2 finale, Sherlock jumped down to his death from the roof of St. Bartholomew Hospital. However, at the end of the episode, it was revealed that Sherlock is alive and he had faked his death. In the closing scene, a solemn looking Sherlock, standing in the shadows, watched his friend Watson walk away from his grave.
In the first episode "The Empty Hearse," Sherlock will be back at the Baker's Street. The reunion between Sherlock and Watson will not be a happy one. Watson will be happy to see his friend alive but will hold a grudge against him for not letting him know the truth sooner.
Watson is likely to get married in "Sherlock" Season 3 episode 2, "The Sign of Three." He will marry Mary Morstan. Watson's girl may become a "third wheel" in the relationship between Watson and Sherlock.
We are wondering what will bring more tears in "His Last Vow," the final episode of Season 3. What is Sherlock' new nemesis, Charles Augustus Magnussen, going to unleash?
The three stories of "Sherlock" 3 are: 'The Empty Hearse', written by Mark Gatiss and directed by Jeremy Lovering; 'The Sign of Three', written by Steve Thompson and directed by Colm McCarthy; and 'His Last Vow', written by Steven Moffat and directed by Nick Hurran. The upcoming season will follow the motif 'Rat', 'Wedding', 'Bow'.
"His Last Vow" is likely to be loosely based on Sir Doyle's "His Last Bow." There are speculations that "Sherlock" Season 3 is scheduled to premiere on January 01, 2014 in UK.
