Kerry Washington could just be on maternity leave but she is still promoting the return of ABC's hit drama, Scandal. The star has been promoting Scandal Season 3 on Twitter, saying the return from the show's winter break is on Thursday, Feb. 27 with its 11th episode entitled "Ride, Sally, Ride." The episode will focus on Sally, who will make a big announcement. The last episode showed Sally in hot water after she murdered her husband, who was having an affair with James, Cyrus' husband.

A new video for Scandal's mid-season 3 premiere show a threat from Rowan, Fitz throwing something at Cyrus and Mellie, Fitz shutting the door to the Oval Office, Harrison loading a gun and Rowan telling Olivia "Everyone should be very afraid. If I were you, I'd be terrified." It shows Mellie and Olivia having lunch while paparazzi watched through the glass windows. The First Lady has some snide remarks for Olivia.

According to the official synopsis, "The White House deals with a bombshell announcement from Sally Langston. Olivia finds herself in a new, challenging role." Fans now wonder if Sally's big public announcement is that she is running for President of the U.S. just like she previously promised. Released pictures from the episode show Sally working with a campaign consultant, Leo Bergen.

According to TV Guide, the rest of the (eight) episodes will focus on Fitz and his election campaign but he would have to deal with more scandals and someone looking for revenge. Scandal was also reportedly forced to cut four episodes because of Washington's pregnancy.

The episode 12 entitled "We Do Not Touch the First Ladies" synopsis also reads "Old jealousies and feelings arise at a Presidential event causing, causing Fitz to face a harsh reality. Quinn tries to prove herself to B613 while Leo Bergen schedules a meeting between Sally and his old friend." Photos os episode 12 show Fitz working in the Oval Office, Olivia meeting with Mellie, Olivia working with her team, Jake meeting Quinn and the President meeting Jake who's the Command of B613 now. Episode 12 will air on March 6.
