A rookie from Toronto Raptors smashed the ring with a dunk and became the 2013 NBA Slam Dunk Winner.

The Toyota Center in Houston, Texas was filled with expectators over the weekend. It was the NBA All Star Weekend where players display their mad skills on court. During the All-Star Saturday Night, Terrence Ross of Toronto Raptors said he doesn't have an idea how he will be able to surprise his audience. Whether that was a plan to shock the crowd or not, he certainly made final moments of the night a memorable one.

Ross who competed in the championship round against Jeremy Evans of the Utah Jazz managed to score 58 percent of the fan votes in comparison to Evans who got 42 percent. It was a crucial stage for the players since the final round was decided through media fan votes.

For the final round and his first dunk, Ross paid tribute to Vince Carter by wearing his jersey while he threw a 360 off an alley oop from the side of the back board.

During his final dunk, Ross was able to thrill the crown when he did an impressive dunk to secure the title for this year. He said that the dunk was inspired by an idea of his agent.

"I told him the day before that I was going to jump over him. But I never told him I was going through the legs. He was kind of nervous. When I first grabbed him he said, 'You're not going to hit me, right?' I said, 'No, I'm not going to hit you.' So, I had to calm his nerves," Ross said.

Ross who took home the title as 2013 NBA All Star Slam Dunk Champion said that he feels blessed and overwhelmed.

"This feels unbelievable," he said as he held on to his trophy.
