Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo knows what's at stake this coming Saturday as they face Atletico Madrid in the Champions League finals.

The Los Blancos' supporters have long been clamouring for "La Decima" or the tenth Champions League trophy that has been very elusive in the past years.

"It is a trophy we have spent years trying to win," Ronaldo told realmadrid.com.

"As a result, from the very first day we arrive at the club we feel a positive kind of pressure geared towards winning the Champions League."

"This year it feels like we are just one small step away from doing it. Pressure is a part of football and of playing for Real Madrid. We are used to having to win all the time, but it is fine. I like the pressure because it makes me a better player. It is a special kind of adrenalin we feel."

The capital-based outfit made it only as far as the semi-finals for three seasons in a row under the guidance of former manager Jose Mourinho from 2010 to 2013.
