The new Season 12 for the Special Battle has arrived, and with it comes the new rules for those who want to participate. This new season will gather gamers who will participate via the “Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire” or “Pokemon X and Y” titles.

Over at Serebii, the trusted Pokemon source, the full set of restrictions and rules have been listed. According to the source, the Special Battle will have single battles. It will run from Sept. 15 to Nov. 17.

All of the Pokemon in the National Pokedex are allowed, except for the usual suspects that cannot be used. Some of these Pokemon are Arceus, Celebi, Darkrai, Deoxys, Dialga, Diancie, Genesect, Giratina, Groudon, Ho-Oh, Hoopa, Jirachi, Keldeo, Kyogre, Kyurem, Lugia, Manaphy, Meloetta, Mew, Mewtwo, Palkia, Phione, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Shaymin, Victini, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zekrom and Zygarde. Additionally, Pokemon that have been transferred from previous “Pokemon” titles via the Poke Transporter are also restricted.

All participating Pokemon will have their levels reduced to 50. Players can also choose three from the six Pokemon party, but only one Pokemon is allowed to hold a particular item at one time.

The other hot “Pokemon” title, the “Pokemon Shuffle,” has also been updated with a new event featuring the Mega Sharpedo. The official “Pokemon Shuffle” website has been updated with the announcement. The new challenge will be a timed one, wherein players stand the chance to gain the Sharpedonite.

Granted, the Sharpedonite will be obtainable by those who are in the top 18,000 or those in the U.S. and 11,000 in Europe. Other prizes that can be won include the Mega Speedup and the Attack Power Up. Non-placers who will participate will still get a Jewel. The new “Pokemon Shuffle” timed challenge will run until Sept. 14.

“Pokemon” fans are currently getting a lot of updates recently, the biggest of which is the announcement of the “Pokemon GO.” The newest project comes together in mobile platforms, wherein wearables will take center stage to put the fun of finding Pokemon into the real world.
