It looks like Afghanistan and Pakistan will go hand in hand for peace and security as the two countries have declared support for each other.

During the delegation of Afghan senators headed by Fazal-e-Hadi Muslimyar, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani of Pakistan promised to support a plan of reconciliation.

Gilani also talked about the full support they gave to the Afghan group who checked out Islamabad to investigate the killing of former Presidant and peace negotiator Burhanuddin Rabbani.

He said his country is devoted to the completion of the Torkham-Jalalabad road. Pakistan is giving away 2,000 fully funded educational scholarships to many Afghan students. The country has decided to continue supporting students through scholarship as requested by the Afghan delegation leader.

The prime minister of Pakistan pledged efforts to enhance the relationship between Pakistan and Afghanistan as parliamentarians from each country exchanged visits just to improve mutual relations.

Farooq H Naek, Senate Chairman, explained that the reason why Pakistan is very focused on improving relations with Afghanistan is because they all share the same culture, religion, geographical proximity and history.

The delegation that revealed the all-out support from Pakistan was attended by the Deputy Head of Musa Arefi, senators and Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar.

Naek emphasized the need for cooperation and the restoration of the friendly bond between the two countries. This will be realized through proper understanding of the two parties, people-to-people communication and regular parliamentary exchanges.

He noticed that the parliamentarians have a very crucial role in working out the plans and implementing the strategies for eradicating present and potential terrorism in the region.
