Oscar Pistorius plans a private and personal memorial service for his slain girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp. Now, that might not be a very good idea.

"The Blade Runner" is reportedly planning a memorial service in memory of Reeva Steenkamp that will be held in his uncle's Pretoria home. Oscar has been staying with his relatives home after he was temporarily released on bail. He waits on the trial after he is charged of premeditated murder of Reeva Steenkamp on the early hours of February 14.

According to Pistorius' management firm, the athlete has specifically requested for the memorial service as he remains in "deep mourning" for the loss of his girlfriend, whom he said he mistakenly shot after assuming that she was a burglar.

''Oscar has asked for a private service with people who share his loss, including his family members who knew and loved Reeva as one of their own,'' Oscar's management, Vuma Reputation, said in a statement.

It was exactly a week ago since Reeva Steenkamp's remains were cremated in a southern city in Port Elizabeth. The private memorial was attended by her family and close friends. After the cremation, Reeva's family gathered outside and the press was able to interview some of Reeva's close family members and friends.

It is still unclear whether how many or who will attend Pistorius' memorial service for his girlfriend and his management refused to give further details saying that it's a "private matter for the family."

Prosecutors claim that Reeva was hit on the head by the bloodied cricket bat before she was shot to death. A CCTV footage of Reeva was also broadcasted in South Africa a few days ago, showing the model's time of arrival at the gated community where Pistorius home was.
