What happens when you put together two divas in one show? Nicki Minaj allegedly threatened to shoot her fellow judge Mariah Carey on the "Idol" panel.

The two judges who from the start are expected to throw some blows against each other has started their "Idol" feud. Mariah and Nicki confront each other while filming in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday.

A source from the "Idol" production told TMZ that Nicki said nasty words to the legendary diva.

"If I had a gun, I would shoot her," Minaj allegedly said.

However the words were not caught on video and were probably said outside Mariah's earshot. "American Idol" boss, Nigel Lythgoe denied rumors about Nicki's threats.

"The statement [that Nicki made a death threat] is absolute rubbish. It's absolutely not true in any way, shape or form," Nigel said. He also added that Mariah confronted Nicki and asked whether she said those words but the 29-year-old singer denied.

Production and filming for the day was said to have been cancelled after Nicki called Mariah names like "b**ch" and "f***ing highness". Their fellow male judges, Keith Urban and Randy Jackson were caught in the middle of their storm.

"I told them I'm not f*****g putting up with her f*****g highness over there [Referring to Mariah]. Figure it the f*** out. Figure it out," Nicki said in the leaked video. Mariah can also be seen answering back but she was inaudible.

The argument was said to have flared up after their disagreement on a contestant's performance. Host of the show, Ryan Seacrest, can also attest that the feud between Nicki and Mariah got intense.

"It got heated between Nicki and Mariah. It was intense! I'll be honest with you. It went far last night. It did get intense," Ryan said.

"Think I'm playin? Think this sh*t is a f*cking joke? Think it's a joke? Think it's a joke? Think it's a joke? Say one more disrespectful thing to me, if you say one more disrespectful thing to me -- off with your head!" Nicki said caught on tape.

"I am not being disrespectful," Mariah replied.

Nicki and Mariah are said to have not been getting along since the auditions started in New York last month.

"Mariah thinks Nicki will just be a distraction and it will all be about her and her outrageous behavior. Mariah will not be happy if Nicki joins the panel and she has let the producers know just how she feels!" a source told Hollywoodlife.
