Veteran quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will enter his 12th season in the National Football League, or NFL, with the a new deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 33 year old QB have signed a rich five-year contract with Steelers restructuring from a previous contract which he signed in 2008.

The league’s official website, NFL.com, is reporting that the deal is worth between $99 million to $108 million.

“This is where I want to be," Roethlisberger said in a news conference last Friday. "It's an incredibly fair deal for both sides, and we're just excited to move forward and get some more Lombardi trophies in that room next year.”

Steelers teammates were also excited that they got their leader back with the team including veteran wide receiver Antonio Brown, who described Roethlisberger as the team’s “general”. Others like running back Le'Veo Bell agreed that Roethlisberger is undoubtedly the Steelers' leader.

“He means everything. He is the guy that makes us go. In the huddle, in practice, you see him put everybody on the same page. He is the starter, he is the leader of the offense and we all follow him,” Bell said in the team’s official website. “For me personally, there are a lot times during games he has told me not to get frustrated. He understands I might have the first eight carries and only get two yards on each carry. He always tells me to stay patient, my runs will come and things like that. He is a leader and he helps me become a leader.”

Roethlisberger is a three-time NFL Pro Bowler making the team in 2007, 2011 and 2014. He has led the Steelers to a pair of NFL titles winning the Super Bowl XL in 2006 and Super Bowl XLIII in 2009. Last season, Roethlisberger had career-highs in passing yards with 4,952, completions with 408 and completion percentage at 67.1%.
