'NCIS' Season 12, Episode 10 Spoilers: Gibbs Rules, Emotional McGee, Cyberterrorists In Mid-Season Special

"NCIS" Season 12, Episode 10, titled "House Rules," airs this Tuesday, Dec. 16, on CBS. This mid-season Christmas special will highlight Gibbs' rules, show an emotional Tim McGee, and present familiar cyber terrorists.

"The NCIS team consults with three cyber-terrorists they imprisoned after a city-wide Internet shutdown the week before Christmas," reads the NCIS Season 12, Episode 10 synopsis on futoncritic.com.

"McGee reflects on the case and Gibbs' infamous rules as he pens a heartfelt letter to his father," the NCIS 12x10 synopsis adds.

As an expert in networks and high tech security systems, Timothy McGee (Sean Murray) is expected to work closely with the cyber terrorists in this week's new episode of NCIS Season 12. His place in the spotlight is secured by the guesting of Rick Deats, who plays Tim's father, Navy Admiral John McGee.

Is McGee leaving NCIS?

A promo video for NCIS Season 12, Episode 10, shows an emotional McGee thanking Gibbs (Mark Harmon) "for everything." Some curious viewers are intrigued, asking whether McGee is leaving NCIS. This question gets answered in this Christmas episode.

McGee is also seen typing "Gibbs' Rules" in his trusty typewriter. Some fans are saying he could be writing his new novel. The NCIS 12x10 synopsis, however, specifically mentions Tim will be writing his father.

Avid viewers would recall that NCIS Season 10, Episode 19 ("Squall") revealed Tim's old man is cancer-stricken. Gibbs' growing bond with McGee is highlighted in the Season 12 premiere, and it is believed this week's new episode will highlight the evolved relationship between the two.
