The nude scandal where nude pictures of various celebrities are being released is gaining a lot of attention. A lot of celebrities have their nude pictures being spread on the internet and the latest one to join the list is the actress of 'Nashville', Hayden Panettiere.

A report by The Mirror wrote that the star's iCloud account was said to have been hacked and photographs of her was released. The photos showed her both naked as well as clothed in various outfits.

The release of the images is being called 'The Fappening: The Second Coming' and stars like Kim Kardashian, Vanessa Hudgens, Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton were also victims of it.

Hayden is yet to give her views on the scandal. The scandal began in August with Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton being the first victims.

The nude photo scandal is a perfect example of right and wrong wherein the people who don't look at the photos are right and those who do are wrong, noted Bustle.com. Nudity in such cases is the infringement of the privacy rights of the celebrities. On the other hand, there are a few television programmes that seem to be portraying nudity as fashion.

There has definitely been an escalation of nudity in television. Because of this, there is a lot of questions if nudity has attained a post-taboo status or if television contestants are just being overly liberal.

According to The Huffington Post, a show 'Dating Naked' by VH1 was looking into the relationship between sexuality and romantic attraction with the most important question being if sexuality determines romantic attraction and if so, to what extent. The show involves the contestants to deal with various tasks and the main attraction of the show is the occasional boner. The contestants remove the typical veil of clothing in the show.

Another show that uses nudity is 'Naked and Afraid' by The Discovery Channel, in which it was used in a way that the possessions of the contestants are stripped away from them and they are left with only their skin to survive in the world for twenty-one continuous days. Modesty is definitely is one of the lowest in the list of priorities of the contestants.

Another show that used the naked body as a cheap gimmick to attract young viewership is 'Buying Naked, a show by TLC. The show talks about how different communites view nudity and how it was represented to others.

Apart from these issues relating to nudity, Dr. Erica Robinson recommends it as it has health benefits. She is a naturopathic doctor as well as a Hypnobirthing instructor. She is currently in her fourth year of internship at Brampton Civic Hospital, Lakeside Natural Health Centre and the Pediatrics Focus Shift at Robert Schad Naturopathic Clinic.

"Love your body by looking at yourself completely naked a few times a week. It will be tough at first, but it's a really great way to build self confidence and self-love." - Joy McCarthy

Dr. Robinson recommends nudity for the following reasons:

  • Paediatricians suggest that babies have an hour of naked time as the range of motion helps brain development by stimulating neuron growth.
  • Since oxygen is a microbial and healing agent, exposing all of your skin can help heal the body.
  • Since tight-waist clothing can cause digestive issues, having a bit of naked time prevents it.
  • Going nude helps the body absorb Vitamin D in a short frame of time.

However, going nude in a private place is different from doing it in public or breaching the privacy of others while they are in an unclothed state.
