Marco Reus will turn down transfer offers from Arsenal and Manchester United, according to Germany general manager, Oliver Bierhoff. Borussia Dortmund forward's heart remains with the Bundesliga club and he has no desire to play for a club that regularly chases trophies.

There is no question that Reus is one of the hottest players in Europe and the biggest clubs are keeping tabs on him. In the past seasons, the 25-year-old has been reported to move away from Dortmund to Atletico Madrid during the summer, but the transfer did not materialise. However, Premier League sides like Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United and City continue to go after Reus, who netted two goals in six league starts this term.

According to a report on Express, Reus rejected a move to Arsenal because he deems the north London team as a club that is not capable of winning trophies on a consistent basis. Initially, it was thought that the German international was keen to move to Arsenal over Manchester United.

"I can still see [Reus] playing for Dortmund," Bierhoff told Sky television. "Dortmund is a guarantee for him. I know that Marco also has his heart in Dortmund." He further revealed that Reus knows what he's got and he treasures it.

The Germany general manager revealed that Marco is the type of person who needs to be in a familiar environment but then again, one cannot help to get envious when their rivals are taking home trophies. When a club such as Barcelona or Real Madrid shows interest to make you as their big summer signing, you will ask yourself if you will get the same chance ever again, the former German striker claimed. He is hopeful that the situation does not weigh Marco down, despite the fact that he confronts it on a daily basis.

Thus far, Reus remains to be one of the top subjects of bids as early as January even though he is currently sidelined due to a recent ankle injury. On the other hand, Manchester United and Liverpool are expected to be active in January. Manchester United is expected to add to its defence following a chain of injuries, while Liverpool is expected to continue to with its search for replacement for Luis Suarez.
