Manny Pacquiao released his own “walkout song” along with a self-directed music video that would accompany this song. The boxing champ certainly does not need other people’s song to feel inspired as he walks out onto the ring and take on Floyd Mayweather on May 2. He also said he is already confident with his skills for this match.

Pacquiao is all geared up for his fight with Mayweather. Apart from preparing his boxing chops for the day, he also readied his walkout song for the fated boxing day. The song he recorded is called “Lalaban Ako Para sa Filipino.” Translated, this means “I’ll Fight For the Filipino People.” The song is going to be heard as he enters the ring on this highly anticipated day. The video footage accompanying the song features his fans surrounding him giving him their heartfelt support as well as footage of a typhoon that recently hit the Philippines and ravaged people’s lives and livelihood.

While both boxing legends have their own teams rooting for them, Pacquiao is said to be extra confident that he could take on Mayweather and see him fall. In an online interview with the Philippines’ local paper, The Manila Times, Pacquiao said that he believes he is almost there or the peak of his fighting caliber. He also said that he is very satisfied with how things went for him ever since he started training on March 9. He constantly trained at the Wild Card Gym, under the supervision of his trainer Freedie Roach and conditioning coach Justine Fortune. He said his team is making sure he does not overdo it because that would lead to adverse results. "Freddie and Justin Fortune have been holding me back a little to prevent me from over-training and peaking too soon," Pacquiao said. "I feel great and I am very excited for May 2," he added.

The fight is certainly not only for sport enthusiasts. Even Hollywood stars and celebrities are gearing up for the big event, planning all sorts of after-parties. TMZ reports that Jay-Z is planning to host a post-fight party at the Marquee nightclub at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Vegas. According to te insider, the bash will be celebrity-studded. Reportedly, VIP tables would be set up, each one costing around $50 thousand. Jay-Z may be more known as a singer rapper, but his Roc Nation Sports brand has expanded to engage in boxing promotion. Apart from Jay-Z, there are also reports of Nicki Minaj, Chris Brown and 2 Chainz planning their own celebrity parties after the said match.
