LG may announce its anticipated LG G5 smartphone early in 2016 at the Mobile World Congress slated for February 22 to 25 in Barcelona, Spain. And, yes, LG might shock us again.

LG has made a name for itself with what can best be described as outlandish technology in its phones and the LG G5 is no exception. It stands to become one of the first to introduce two biometric sensors in a single smartphone.

The LG G5 will have a fingerprint sensor and an iris scanner to boost user security. Other sources, however, say the fingerprint sensor will be replaced by the iris scanner from IRIENCE.

LG is the first tech company to introduce interchangeable backsides with textured and faux leather. The LG G5 comes with a power button positioned on the rear with volume buttons. Though LG has refused to reveal the phone’s exact specs, speculation flourishes and you can read about this here.

Those that love big displays will prefer the phone’s 5.6-inch screen packed with 1440 x 2560 pixels. The phone’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and boasts of a 3500mAH battery.

It’s got a 21 MP rear camera enhanced with features like laser autofocus, 4K video, dual-LED flash and OIS, among others. The phone has a front-facing 8 MP camera along with 1080p video.
