It seems LG is ready with the next iteration of its popular flagship device, the LG G4, released last April. The LG G5 is said to boast a larger display, a better camera, a massive battery and a powerful processor. There are also rumours LG will launch LG G5 Pro along with G5.

The LG G5 will reportedly come packed with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 820 chipset under the hood. The handset will be shipped with 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and provide three internal memory options: 32 GB, 64 GB or 128 GB.

There is word the upcoming phone will feature a 20 MP rear camera capable of 4K video recording along with a 10 MP selfie camera, as reported by Christian Post. The front snapper will be equipped with an Iris Eye Recognition scanner that will enhance security by enabling users to unlock the phone with their eyes. The dish is that face detection and smile will be an essential part of the LG G5’s camera sensor.

The LG G5 is rumoured to be juiced up by a humongous 4,000 mAh battery. It will support GPS, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and NFC.

LG is also said to be working on a touch sensor technology quite similar to that of Touch ID, according to a report in Tech Times. The LG G5 Pro will likely sport a larger display and will be shipped with beefier specs with a 1.8 GHz hexa-core Snapdragon 820 SoC.

The LG G5 may feature a 5.6-inch True HD display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass. The 4K IPS flexible touch screen display is expected to sport a 3840 x 2160 screen resolution. There are no legitimate leaks of design renders that can hint if LG will retain its leather back design or try out an all-aluminum design instead.

The South Korean electronics giant is ready to release the device in November or before Christmas. LG has yet to announce the exact date of shipment for the G5 and G5 Pro. But speculation suggests the device will out on sale in the first quarter of 2016.

The new flagship’s Quick Charge 3.0 capable device comez with a price tag of US$900 (AU$1,248), as reported by Ecumenical News. It’s worth mentioning LG hasn’t come up with any official details on features and specifications of the LG G5.
